Jason's Birthday Dinner

After an already exciting weekend (and by exciting I mean, doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING), we went to Jason's birthday dinner at Razzoo's in Lewisville on Sunday night. We had the place pretty much to ourselves. This was nice for us but I bet Razzoo's has a different train of thought on that.
Besides Jason's dinner, Allen and I literally did not leave the house all weekend. I completely enjoyed it, and Allen spent most of the time bitching and moaning about missing a perfectly good opportunity to hit that little white ball across that perfectly mowed grass, chase it down, and do it again.
Dinner was nice. It was the easiest dining out meal Allen and I had in a quite a long time because everyone was happy to hold Monster for us. Here are some pictures from dinner, most of which are everyone else holding Alex!

And that's it! Until next time! BYE!

So the bad weather brought my Uncle Larry and (we call her) Crazy Aunt Sandie here to visit us from Houston. On Sat. night, we took them to our favorite BBQ joint, The Hard Eight, out in Coppell.

The Hard Eight is this huge place out in the middle of nowhere. OK, Coppell is not nowhere. I should say it is a huge BBQ place in a spot where you just would not expect someone to erect an almost stupidly enormous BBQ place that is somehow, every time we go, full.

We had a good time. Hung out for a bit and had our meal. I had the ribs. Best thing they do. And that was it!

Sadly, this was the most exciting thing we did all weekend. (No offense fam! Just, life sure changed on me quick if going out to eat is the most exciting thing I did. Of course, sleeping these days is pretty exciting too)

Allen is out playing golf today with Jason for Jason's birthday, so I a just sittin' in the house with The Monster, watching him and thinking of all the things that need to be done, and then deciding I would rather avoid them, just like I did yesterday. You never know, I may just get motivated and sweep the floors. Or just go nuts and do some laundry!
Here are some pics from din din. Enjoy!

This shot would be great.......if Allen's eyes were open!

This weekend was eventful.
On Thursday night, we decided it was finally time to put Alex's high chair together. We were lucky enough to find one that somewhat matches our kitchen furniture. Thus far in this adventure we call parenting, we have been lucky enough to avoid a living room that looks like a rainforest themed circus came through pottery barn and threw up. I am sure that will change though. We can only avoid that for so long.

On Sat. I got up very early to get downtown. (Does 6:30 come twice in a day on a Saturday? I could have sworn I have only ever seen it on the PM side of the clock...) I am on the committee for the American Heart Association here at work, and every year I get involved in the Heart Walk. This year, I not only duped Allen into coming, but he swung by and picked up Nina D and came downtown to see everything with The Monster. So he was working hard too.
The weather was awful. We were expecting hurricane Ike to hit us pretty hard. It was windy, warm, and humid. The perfect combo for a grrrrrreat hair day. It was pretty gross. There was a constant feeling of dew on you at all times. But the show must go on, at least according to my buddies at the AHA. (Thanks guys)

We just relaxed the rest of the weekend away. After Saturday morning, we were pretty worn out. Allen and I were actually looking forward to some good storms and rain from Ike but we seemed to miss all the excitement here. We barely got any rain at all!
That's it for now. I'll check back soon!
You can leave comments if you like but don't even think about correcting my spelling or grammer! Not a good move.........

I finally jumped on the blog wagon

So, I never had much interest in a blog......until I had Alex. This is primarily because I quickly turned into a mom who loves to send pictures out of her boy that she assumes everyone finds as adorable and amusing as she does. So, this way, I can just send you the link, and all info and updates will be in one place.

I can't promise that I will update it regularly. Hell, I can't promise I will update it at all. But I certainly have intent to try to attempt to think about maybe getting around to possibly posting pictures and events as they occur.

October should be a interesting month. Vacation to Vegas, High School Reunion, Anniversary, Halloween......what else? Am I missing something?

So I am emailing you this link now so you know it is set up, and when I make updates or add photos/videos, I will send it again.
